CTM is being built for private sellers and collectors as well as artists, musicians, actors, athletes, creators, labels, studios, publishers, clubs, teams, shops, venues, attractions, festivals, brands and other organisations.

No. Private individuals will be able to sell alongside businesses and professional sellers. The seller type you choose helps CTM tailor onboarding and marketplace information.

CTM is intended for merchandise and collectibles with a genuine connection to an artist, band, film, TV show, production, team, athlete, game, comic, animation, creator, podcast, venue, event, organisation or recognised cultural property. Examples include clothing, programmes, signed items, posters, vinyl, cassettes, toys, figures, promotional items, event memorabilia and vintage or resale merch.

No. Music is an important part of CTM, but the marketplace is being designed for merch across film, TV, theatre, comedy, sport, gaming, comics, animation, creators, podcasts, attractions, exhibitions and other cultural sectors.

Yes. CTM is designed to combine official and primary-market merchandise with resale, vintage and collectible items. Condition, origin and relevant provenance will form part of the listing information.

Counterfeit goods, unsafe items, stolen goods and anything prohibited by law or CTM marketplace rules will not be permitted. Final category-specific restrictions and the treatment of unofficial or bootleg items will be set out before live trading begins.

Standard listings are planned to be free. There is no upfront listing charge under the standard CTM model.

The standard seller commission is planned to be 0%. Sellers keep 100% of the item sale price unless they choose an optional paid promotion or other optional paid feature.

The planned CTM buyer platform fee is 7% of the item price, with a minimum fee of 75p and a maximum fee of £5.

CTM is being designed around a protected payment flow. The buyer pays CTM, funds are held during fulfilment, and the seller payout is released after delivery or receipt is confirmed, subject to the final beta terms and any active issue or dispute.

Each seller remains responsible for their own tax and VAT position where applicable. CTM will provide transaction information and marketplace records, but individual tax treatment depends on the seller's circumstances.

The buyer is planned to pay the delivery charge. Sellers will choose the courier or delivery methods they are willing to use, and checkout will show compatible options.

No. CTM is being designed without direct buyer-to-seller messaging. Questions, delivery issues and disputes will use structured workflows so sellers do not have to manage an open inbox of buyer messages.

CTM is designed to keep seller contact details private. Only information genuinely required to complete a transaction, delivery or legal obligation will be used or shared as necessary.

The planned process uses structured issue types and evidence rather than unrestricted messaging. CTM can step in where needed, with payout release paused while a qualifying issue is reviewed.

That is part of the planned delivery model. Sellers are intended to be able to save preferences for printerless QR labels, printable labels, or both, with an order-level override where supported by the courier.

Where evidence exists, CTM is designed to preserve useful history about an item: for example an original artist or official sale, source information, later ownership and relevant resale history. The aim is to keep context attached to collectible merch rather than losing it after each sale.

No marketplace can automatically guarantee every third-party item. CTM is being designed to capture useful evidence, seller declarations, source information and item status clearly, while using moderation and buyer-protection processes where concerns arise.

Listings will use structured condition choices appropriate to the item, supported by photographs and seller notes. Clothing listings are also planned to support UK sizing by default with overseas sizing and conversion guidance where relevant.

Price history, collection records and previous sale information are planned features where reliable data is available. These features are intended to help buyers and collectors understand an item's history rather than treating every sale in isolation.

Not yet. CTM is currently pre-launch and preparing the founding-seller beta. Features described as planned are still being built, tested or finalised.

The founding seller beta is UK-first. Wider geographic availability can be considered after the UK marketplace and fulfilment model have been tested.
